Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Janitor to maintain cleanliness and hygiene across our premises. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring a safe, tidy, and welcoming environment for staff and visitors alike.
Main Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming of floors and surfaces
- Clean and sanitise changing rooms, toilets and communal areas in accordance with health and safety standards
- Empty bins and dispose of waste responsibly
- Restock supplies such as toilet paper and hand soap as needed
- Maintain cleaning equipment in good working order and report any repairs or issues
- Adhere to company policies on cleaning procedures and confidentiality
- Prepare rooms for functions, meetings, training, events with layouts as directed by administration staff, which involves moving furniture, hanging wall linings etc.
Skills & Qualifications
Essential
- Prior experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles
- Excellent eye for detail
- Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and uphold high standards of professionalism
- Effective communication skills to interact with customers and team members
- Physical stamina to perform janitorial tasks
Desirable
- Experience with health and safety compliance
- An interest in sailing/water sports
