Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our team. As a Fabricator/Welder, you will be responsible for using hand tools and power tools to fabricate and assemble metal parts. You will also utilize your welding skills to join metal components together. This is a full-time position based in our workshop.
Duties:
- Fabricate and assemble metal parts according to blueprints and specifications
- Perform welding tasks using various techniques, including stick welding
- Cut, shape, and bend metal using power tools and manual equipment
- Read and interpret technical drawings and diagrams
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times
Requirements:
- Proficient in basic maths for measurements and calculations
- Strong welding skills with experience in stick welding
- Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively
- Mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
