We are an eighth-generation family business with 11 stores across north of England. We specialise in retail jewellery and prestige watches, including new and pre-owned pieces, and also provide pawnbroking, gold buying and foreign exchange services.
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Branch Manager to join our busy York store. This customer-facing role requires a confident, self-motivated jewellery retail professional who can help manage a fast-paced branch while delivering first-class service across all departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day management of a busy retail store.
- Deliver exceptional face-to-face customer service.
- Advise customers on jewellery, prestige watches and pre-owned products.
- Assist with retail sales, pawnbroking and foreign exchange services.
- Handle and balance cash accurately.
- Work effectively to deadlines and maintain high operational standards.
- Support colleagues and help ensure the branch runs efficiently.
Essential Experience and Skills
- At least 2 years of jewellery retail experience.
- Strong jewellery product knowledge.
- Proven experience delivering excellent customer service.
- Confidence handling and balancing cash.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- A self-motivated, dependable and professional approach.
- The ability to work effectively in a busy retail environment.
Applicants without at least 2 years of jewellery retail experience will not be considered.
