About the Role
We are looking for a confident, organised and hands-on Operations Manager to join our company based at Donington Park. This is a key leadership role, responsible for ensuring the smooth planning, coordination and delivery of events, while supporting and motivating teams to work together effectively.
The successful candidate will be a strong communicator with excellent people-management skills, a practical approach to problem-solving and the ability to keep teams focused in a fast-paced events environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operational activity across events, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and to a consistently high standard.
- Lead, support and motivate teams before, during and after events, promoting a positive and collaborative working culture.
- Coordinate staffing, schedules, equipment, suppliers and site requirements to ensure events run smoothly.
- Act as a key point of contact for internal teams, clients, contractors and event partners.
- Identify and resolve operational issues quickly, calmly and professionally.
- Support planning meetings and post-event reviews.
- Maintain high standards of customer service, presentation and operational compliance.
- Contribute to continuous improvement across processes, team performance and event delivery.
About You
- Previous experience in motorsport operations, events, venue management or a similar fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership and team-management skills, with the ability to get the best out of people.
- Excellent organisational, communication and prioritisation skills.
- A calm, practical and solutions-focused approach under pressure.
- Confidence working with clients, suppliers and operational teams.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- A flexible approach to working hours, including event days, and weekends when required.
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.
- Full UK driving licence.
- A strong team player who takes pride in delivering high-quality results.
