Overview
We are seeking a professional and friendly Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our GP practice. This role requires strong clerical and organisational skills, as well as proficiency in various administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome visitors in a warm and professional manner.
- Answer incoming calls, manage phone etiquette, and direct calls to the appropriate personnel. Dealing with our total triage system for the newly appointed way of making appointments.
- Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently, maintaining up-to-date records.
- Assist with scheduling appointments.
- Maintain a clean and organised reception area to create a welcoming environment.
- Support the administrative team with various clerical tasks as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a GP receptionist or similar administrative role is necessary.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating professionalism at all times.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
- A positive attitude with a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
- Previous experience in an office environment is advantageous but not mandatory.
