We are looking for a cleaner for our holiday let, the Welsh Gatehouse. This lovely holiday let is designed for just 2 guests. There are a lot of stairs! It is based in Mathern, near Chepstow. The person taking this on would need a car (there is no public transport nearby).
Some people come to the Gatehouse for just one night, most stay 2-3 nights, and some stay 5-7 nights. This means there is no regular changeover day. On average the Gatehouse gets cleaned nine times a month, and there is a team of 3 people who do this between them. This means you'd get to clean on average 3-4 times a month, though sometimes it can be 6 times in a month. It is a 2 hour job each time. Our guests leave at 11.00 - so the clean starts at 11 and is typically 2 hours (11am - 1pm). The pay is £14.00 per hour which includes holiday pay. On a 'changeover day' when someone is leaving and a new person is arriving, then the cleaning needs to be start at 11 am (and finished by 2pm). We need someone who can be 100% reliable.
Usually we can give you at least a weeks notice of when cleaning is needed, often 4 weeks notice is given.
There is no public transport where we live in Mathern (postcode NP16 6HZ) so you will need transport to get to us. We prefer someone who lives locally - within 12 miles.
