Job Summary
South West Refrigeration are seeking a motivated and dependable General Yard Hand to assist our yard manager 2 - 3 days a week.
A forklift license will be an advantage but not essential and experience with tools / electrical works would also be an advantage.
Duties
- Load and unload materials and equipment
- Operate pallet trucks safely to move pallets, and heavy items around the yard
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying inbound and outbound shipments
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard area to promote safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks
Requirements
- Experience operating forklifts with valid certification preferred but not essential
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively
- Mechanical / Electrical / Tools knowledge or experience with yard equipment is advantageous
- Understanding of materials handling, shipping, and receiving procedures
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and perform manual tasks
Pay will meet NMW and is pro-rata
Pay: £26,436.80 per year
