Healthcare Integration Support Analyst – HL7 / Mirth Connect
Location: 100% Remote – UK based
Contract: Inside IR35
Duration: 9+ months
Start: October 2026
We are looking for a Healthcare Integration Support Analyst to support healthcare application integrations and interoperability across clinical systems.
This role would suit an experienced healthcare IT, application support or integration professional who is comfortable troubleshooting HL7 interfaces, working with integration engines and engaging directly with customers and technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support, troubleshoot and resolve healthcare integration and application issues.
- Analyse HL7 v2 messages, interface workflows, logs and data to identify and resolve issues.
- Work with Mirth Connect or similar HL7 integration engines.
- Use JavaScript to troubleshoot and modify integration/interface logic.
- Use SQL/databases to investigate integration and application issues.
- Work with healthcare systems including EMR, HIS, PACS and clinical applications.
- Support interface implementations, integrations and customer-facing technical activities.
What you will bring:
- Minimum of 3–8 years' experience in healthcare IT, integration support, application support or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of HL7 v2 messaging and healthcare interoperability.
- Hands-on experience with Mirth Connect or an equivalent HL7 integration engine such as Rhapsody, Corepoint, InterSystems or OpenLink.
- JavaScript – mandatory, with the ability to read, troubleshoot and work with integration scripts.
- Working knowledge of SQL and databases.
- Working knowledge of XSD/schema structures.
- Experience with EMR, PACS, HIS or other clinical/healthcare systems.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working in a customer-facing environment and communicating technical issues effectively.
- Willingness to develop further within healthcare integration and implementation.
Nice to Have:
- FHIR / healthcare APIs
- DICOM
- Python or other scripting
- Cardiology or medical imaging workflows
- PACS/RIS experience
