Woodend Farming Partnership is a family business growing arable crops and producing Free Range Eggs in a modern, well maintained poultry unit.
We are looking for someone to join our small friendly team looking after Free Range Laying Hens and packing eggs at weekends to fit in with our rota. This role might be ideal for a student, someone looking for part-time weekend work, or anyone keen to earn some extra hours in a relaxed rural setting. The current rota is every second weekend but more weekends are available if desired/ holiday cover etc.
Weekend hours are 8.00am- 12.30 pm Sat/Sun mornings with a paid break
What you'll be doing:
- Checking the welfare of our Free Range hens (animal husbandry)
- Collecting floor eggs and recording basic data
- Grading and packing eggs
- Keeping the poultry unit, egg room, and equipment clean and tidy
What we’re looking for:
- Reliability, attention to detail, and a positive attitude
- A willingness to learn and work as part of a small team
- Experience with livestock is a bonus—but not essential, as full training will be provided
Due to location, own transport is required.
