About Jobbar
Jobbar is a UK-based job matching platform launching in September 2026. We connect candidates with roles they genuinely want, and employers with candidates who have already shown real interest - so both sides are engaged before a conversation even starts. Alongside the core matching product, Jobbar includes a professional communities layer that lets users share knowledge and engage with others in their industry. We are a small founding team building something genuinely different in the UK recruitment market. This is an early hire, and the right person will have a meaningful impact on how Jobbar grows.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Head of Marketing to own Jobbar's brand, grow both sides of the marketplace, and build our presence from the ground up. This is a hands-on role. You will be expected to set strategy and execute it - creating content, running campaigns, building social media channels, and developing the marketing function as the business scales. You will work closely with the founding team and will have real ownership of how Jobbar is positioned and perceived in the market.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and own Jobbar's marketing strategy across candidate acquisition, employer brand awareness, and platform growth
- Build and manage Jobbar's social media presence from scratch, creating and designing content across all relevant channels
- Plan and execute campaigns to grow the candidate user base and drive ongoing platform engagement
- Develop marketing collateral including pitch materials, case studies, and brand assets
- Manage and grow Jobbar's professional communities on the platform
- Track and report on key marketing metrics, using data to inform decisions and optimise performance
- Support employer outreach activity and contribute to go-to-market efforts alongside the founding team
- Actively participate in employer sales activity, including outreach, relationship building, and closing conversations - working alongside the founder who leads on sales, with a genuine opportunity to influence commercial outcomes
About You
- Proven experience in a marketing or growth role, ideally with at least some time spent at an early-stage or scaling company
- Hands-on social media and content creation skills - you are comfortable designing and producing content yourself, not just directing others
- Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of two-sided marketplace dynamics
- Self-motivated and confident working with a high degree of autonomy
- A genuine interest in the future of work, recruitment technology, or professional networking is a plus
What We Offer
- Salary of £50,000 – £60,000 depending on experience
- Fully remote working (UK-based)
- A founding-team level role with real influence over the direction of the business
- The opportunity to build a marketing function from day one
