Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Laundry Attendant to join our hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient cleaning and organisation of linen and laundry items, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation. Previous hotel experience is preferred, as it demonstrates familiarity with hospitality industry standards and procedures. Responsibilities
- Collect, sort, and process laundry items including bed linen, towels, and guest clothing
- Operate laundry machinery such as washers, dryers, and ironing equipment safely and efficiently
- Ensure all laundry is cleaned to the highest standards of hygiene and presentation
- Organise and store clean linen in designated areas for easy access by housekeeping staff
- Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Assist with inventory management of laundry supplies and report any shortages or issues promptly
- Follow established procedures for handling delicate or special items requiring specific care based on the clothes labels.
- Closing and opening the laundry.
- Be able to work on the other week days.
- Fixed work days are Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 2 p.m to 8 p.m.
- We can provide you with on site training until you are ready.
Skills
- Previous hotel or hospitality experience is highly desirable
- Organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Good time management skills to meet tight schedules
- Knowledge of laundry equipment operation and safety protocols is advantageous(There is training on the site if you don't have laundry skills)
- Reliable with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic
