We are seeking a friendly and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming environment for all patrons. This role involves preparing high-quality beverages, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring smooth operation during busy hours. The position offers an opportunity to develop barista skills within a dynamic setting, contributing to a positive customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, in accordance with company standards.
- Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks when required.
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed at all times.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any enquiries professionally.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including cleaning equipment and utensils regularly.
- Manage cash register operations with accuracy, including handling payments and giving correct change.
- Organise tasks efficiently to manage multiple orders during peak periods using effective time management skills.
- Support team members as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar serving role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Knowledge of food safety standards is desirable.
- Experience in serving customers and basic food preparation skills are advantageous.
- Good basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Strong time management abilities to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods.
- Friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
