Experienced Carpenter
Overview
Adsborough Builders are seeking an experienced and reliable Carpenter to join our team working on extensions, renovations and new build projects across Taunton, Somerset and the surrounding areas.
The ideal candidate be capable of working independently, and possess their own van, tools and equipment. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has excellent attention to detail and can maintain high standards of workmanship on site.
Duties
- Carrying out first and second fix carpentry works
- Installing doors, skirting, architraves, staircases and fitted joinery
- Constructing timber studwork, roofs and structural timber elements
- Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications
- Working alongside other trades to deliver projects efficiently
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with current building regulations
- Assisting with general building works where required
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' carpentry experience
- Own van, tools and equipment essential
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong knowledge of construction methods and building practices
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Full UK driving licence
- CSCS card preferred
- Experience working on extensions, renovations and residential projects desirable
