Responsibilities
- Installing, testing, and maintaining electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with safety regulations and technical specifications.
- Diagnosing electrical faults using hand tools and power tools, then executing effective repairs or replacements.
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams to ensure accurate installation and maintenance procedures.
- Conducting routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues before they escalate.
- Ensuring all work complies with current electrical codes and safety standards.
- Collaborating with other tradespeople and project managers to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Maintaining detailed records of work performed for compliance and future reference.
Experience
- Proven experience as an Electrician in a domestic or commercial setting is essential.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, wire strippers, and multimeters is required.
- Experience working with power tools including drills, saws, and cable cutters is highly desirable.
- Demonstrable electrical experience with the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- A recognised qualification in Electrical Installation or equivalent is preferred.

- Current BS7671 quals 18th edition or equivalent, NVQ3. 2391 is a bonus
