As part of Fieldfisher's Black History Month activities, our Early Careers and Inclusion teams are delighted to invite students of Black heritage to apply for our Black Heritage Skills Development Day, taking place in our London office on Wednesday 28 October 2026, 9:30 – 16:30.
Created specifically for students of Black heritage, this event focuses on helping participants develop practical skills, build confidence and expand their professional networks.
While hosted by a law firm, this is not a legal careers event. The focus is on developing transferable skills that can support students throughout their studies and future careers, regardless of the profession they ultimately choose to pursue.
Throughout the day, you'll have the opportunity to hear from professionals across our business, take part in interactive discussions and workshops, and gain practical insights that can support your personal and professional development.
What to expect
The day will include a mix of interactive sessions and practical activities focused on areas such as:
-
employability and professional skills
-
networking and building professional relationships
-
confidence and communication
-
career planning and personal development
-
learning from the experiences of professionals at different stages of their careers
You'll also have the opportunity to connect with people from across the firm, ask questions and gain practical advice that you can apply to your own career journey.
