About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Night Nurse to join our team, providing essential out-of-hours care within our busy small animal hospital.
This is a rewarding opportunity for a proactive and confident nurse who thrives in a night setting and is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care.
The Role
As our Night Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring the wellbeing of hospitalised patients overnight. You will be responsible for delivering attentive nursing care, monitoring patient progress, and supporting emergency cases as they arise.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to hospitalised patients
- Monitor, record, and respond to changes in patient condition
- Assist with emergency procedures and critical care cases
- Support the Out of Hours service with nursing expertise
- Maintain a calm, organised, and professional environment during night shifts
Working Pattern
This is a part-time role averaging 27.5 hours per week in a 5 on 9 off pattern.
About You
- Qualified and registered veterinary nurse
- Confident working independently and making clinical decisions
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Compassionate, reliable, and committed to patient care
- Previous experience in emergency or night work is desirable but not essential
