Clinical Pharmacist – Locum Cover (1 Month with possible extension)

System: EMIS WebWe are recruiting for a Locum Clinical Pharmacist to provide 1 month cover, Monday to Friday (start/end times are flexible) within a well-organised GP practice based in Muswell Hill, North London. This is an on-site Primary Care role, working closely with GPs, and the wider PCN team.The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a combination of patient-facing clinical work and structured administrative support within the practice. This will include running minor illness consultations within scope of practice, alongside medicines management and optimisation activities to support safe, effective prescribing across the practice population. The role involves approximately 4 hours of patient-facing clinics per day, seeing around 20 patients at a rate of 5 patients per hour, ensuring timely access to care and appropriate clinical assessment. In addition, there will be 2 hours of protected administration time each day dedicated to medicines management tasks, reviewing and actioning test results, processing prescriptions, and managing a range of administrative and reception-related clinical queries. The postholder will also work closely with the wider practice team using EMIS Web on a daily basis and contribute to supporting QOF where required.
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Clinical Pharmacist registered with GphC
- Independent Prescriber (IP)
- Previous GP Surgery / Primary Care experience essential
- Strong experience using EMIS Web
- Available to work on-site N10 1ET
Pay
Competitive pay depending on experience (flexible contract arrangement available, incl outside IR35)
Pay: £25.00-£35.00 per hour
