We are seeking a highly skilled & experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our team in producing quality metal products. The ideal candidate will have experience in sheet metal work, developments, using power tools, and assembling metal components. Primarily fabricating and tacking assemblies rather than just welding. Experience in the water industry, ducting & cones preferred. Working on own initiative from technical drawings to plan & produce finished parts.
Duties
- Fabricate and weld metal components according to technical drawings
- Utilize power tools & machinery for cutting, grinding, and shaping metal
- Assemble fabricated parts to create finished products
- Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and solve fabrication issues
- Use basic maths skills to measure and cut materials accurately
- Employ hand tools for various fabrication tasks
- Reverse Engineering
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fabricating and welding metal
- Proficiency in using power tools, machinery and hand tools
- Familiarity with TIG, MIGMAG
- Knowledge of sheet metal work, basic developments
- Mechanical aptitude to understand technical drawings and solve fabrication challenges
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations, pythagoras theorem, sheet metal developments
