About the Role
1st Choice Removals is looking for a reliable, hardworking, and customer-focused HGV Driver to join our growing team based in Bournemouth.
This role involves carrying out residential and commercial removals, transporting customers' belongings safely and professionally throughout the UK, with opportunities for European travel where required. You will work alongside an experienced removals crew, delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring every move is completed efficiently and with the highest level of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate HGV removal vehicles in accordance with all driving legislation and company procedures.
- Complete residential and commercial removals across the UK, with occasional European work where required.
- Load, secure, transport, and unload furniture and customers' belongings with care and attention.
- Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and maintain vehicle cleanliness and roadworthiness.
- Complete relevant transport documentation and assist with customs paperwork when required.
- Comply with drivers' hours regulations, tachograph legislation, and company policies.
- Work closely with the removals team to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and professionally.
- Deliver excellent customer service throughout every move.
- Represent 1st Choice Removals in a professional manner at all times.
Requirements
- Valid UK HGV Licence (Category C or C+E).
- Valid Driver CPC qualification.
- Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous removals, transport, or multi-drop driving experience is desirable.
- Good understanding of drivers' hours and tachograph regulations.
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.
- Valid passport and willingness to travel within Europe is advantageous but not essential.
- Flexible, reliable, and professional with excellent teamwork and customer service skills.
