Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Agricultural Parts Manager to oversee the procurement, inventory, and distribution of agricultural components and equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing supply chain operations, maintaining accurate data records, and ensuring the efficient operation of warehouse functions. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive service, logistics, and warehouse management systems, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Manage the inventory of agricultural parts, ensuring stock levels are optimised through effective supply chain practices.
- Oversee shipping and receiving processes, coordinating with logistics providers to ensure timely delivery and dispatch.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely to facilitate movement of parts within the facility.
- Coordinate with automotive service teams to ensure parts availability aligns with repair schedules.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure favourable terms while maintaining quality standards.
- Conduct regular audits of stock levels and organise stock rotation to minimise wastage.
- Lead a team of warehouse staff, providing training on equipment repair, safety procedures, and system utilisation.
- Analyse supply chain data to optimise logistics workflows and improve overall efficiency.
- Assist in developing strategies for procurement, storage optimisation, and cost reduction initiatives.
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse management or parts supply within agricultural or automotive industries.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to automotive repair and equipment repair.
- Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse handling equipment safely.
- Excellent negotiation skills with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Sound understanding of logistics, shipping & receiving processes, and supply chain management.
- Proficiency in data entry and maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Customer service orientation with the ability to communicate effectively across teams.
- Organised approach with attention to detail in managing stock levels and documentation requirements.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.
