Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Bar & Accommodation Manager to oversee the daily operations of our hospitality facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experiences through effective team management, maintaining high standards of food safety and quality, and supervising all aspects of accommodation services. Duties
- Staff & Shift Oversight (Hours may vary due to business requirements)
Tasks include but not limited to:
- Create weekly staff rota and confirm shift coverage for all opening hours
- Mange bar and cleaning staff
- Arrange holiday cover and shift swaps
- Check staff performance, morale and recruitment (bank of staff for all areas)
Cleaning & Maintenance
- Ensure daily cleaning
- Monitor hygiene standards across bar, lounge, and accommodation areas
- Report and resolve maintenance issues
Bar Operations
- Oversee bar service
- Check stock levels and order supplies
- Liaise with suppliers for the services they provide and optimise suppliers
- Track sales and customer feedback – Implement improvements as required
- Coordinate outsourced food service in a timely manner
- Increase sales, review, expenditure, and create new business contacts
Admin & Budget
- Manage wages and payroll
- Monitor running budget and spend
- Conduct audits and maintain records to optimise business
- Review supplier invoices and contracts
Events & Lounge Use
- Plan and promote events
- Schedule lounge bookings and entertainment
- Track event attendance and feedback to implement improvements
- Share event updates and maintain social media pages
Accommodation & Digital
- Manage accommodation listings and bookings
- Coordinate cleaning and guest arrivals and departures
- Respond to guest messages and reviews
- Update and maintain social media
Skills
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience
- Proven supervising experience within a hospitality or bar environment.
- Strong team management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Knowledge of bar and events operations, including food safety protocols
- Previous bar management experience is essential.
