Summary
We are looking to appoint 2 Business Administration apprentices. As a busy Ofsted Outstanding local authority maintained setting, we require efficient and adaptable administrative support to ensure the smooth day to day running of the provision. We hope to recruit 2 apprentices to allow us to develop highly skilled individuals who are trained specifically in the systems used, helping to bridge gaps in digital skills, data management, communication and customer service. The apprenticeship will ease pressures on existing team members by providing dedicated admin support. The apprentice will contribute positively to operational efficiency and service delivery. The successful candidate will be confident, enthusiastic, hard working, dedicated, capable and resilient, looking for a new challenge and experience at a starting point within school administration and management, ideally suited, but not solely for, a school/college leaver interested in school business management and administration. All applications welcomed.
The apprentices will be allocated dedicated workplace mentors, typically the School Business Manager or Office lead who will provide regular supervision, guidance and feedback through scheduled meetings to review progress, set targets and reflect on learning. The apprentice will receive protected time for off the job training, enabling them to engage fully with their training provider and complete required coursework. Close collaboration with the training provider will allow us to monitor progress, address any gaps and ensure a cohesive approach to learning and assessment to support the successful qualification at the end of the apprenticeship.
The federation of Duke Street & Highfield Nursery Schools are committed to safeguarding and any appointment will be subject to satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS clearance.
Please note that in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2025, an online search will be carried out as part of our due diligence on shortlisted candidates.
