Recovery Coordinator – Criminal Justice
Location: Manchester
Rate: £22.00 – £25.00 per hour
Contract: Temporary – 3 Months
Seven Resourcing are recruiting for an experienced Recovery Coordinator to join a Criminal Justice and Substance Misuse service in Manchester. This role focuses on supporting individuals involved in the criminal justice system who are experiencing drug and alcohol misuse, with the aim of reducing reoffending, improving recovery outcomes, and supporting community reintegration.
The role involves working closely with probation services, courts, police custody, prisons, and community agencies to provide coordinated recovery-focused support.
Key Responsibilities
- Work in partnership with Probation Services and Criminal Justice agencies
- Deliver DRR/ATR interventions in line with National Probation Service requirements
- Support service users from custody, prison, and community settings
- Provide recovery planning, structured interventions, and regular reviews
- Complete comprehensive assessments, risk assessments, and care planning
- Act as a key recovery coordinator for allocated service users
- Produce accurate and timely case recordings and reports
- Liaise with courts and criminal justice agencies regarding treatment suitability
- Deliver harm reduction advice including overdose prevention and BBV awareness
- Support access to prescribing services and community-based interventions
- Facilitate engagement with recovery communities, peer support, and mutual aid groups
- Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners including health and probation services
- Support triage, referrals, and onward pathways into treatment and support services
- Contribute to group work, key working, and recovery-focused interventions
Candidate Requirements
- Strong understanding of drug and alcohol misuse and recovery pathways
- Experience working within criminal justice, probation, or substance misuse services
- Knowledge of the criminal justice system and court processes
- Experience delivering structured interventions such as DRR/ATR (desirable)
- Experience working with complex service users with multiple needs
- Strong assessment, risk management, and care planning skills
- Excellent communication, engagement, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively
- Strong IT and record keeping skills
