Duties
- Safely operate flatbed trucks and other commercial vehicles to deliver products to customers efficiently and on schedule
- Load, secure, and unload cargo with attention to safety protocols and proper handling techniques
- Verify delivery orders, check for accuracy, and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery completion
- Maintain detailed logs of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle inspections
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during transit
- Communicate proactively with dispatchers regarding delivery status, delays, or issues encountered on the route
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure optimal performance and report any maintenance needs promptly
Experience
- Previous delivery driver experience preferred, especially with flatbed or commercial driving roles
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Experience operating flatbed trucks or similar commercial vehicles is highly desirable
- Knowledge of safe cargo securing practices and transportation regulations
- Ability to navigate using GPS or maps efficiently in various environments
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude toward customer service
