Guidewire Architect

About the Role
Our client is expanding its Guidewire Practice and is looking for an experienced Guidewire Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale Guidewire solutions for leading insurance clients. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex digital transformation programmes involving Guidewire Cloud, modern integration technologies, and the London Market.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of Guidewire InsuranceSuite solutions.
- Define solution architecture for Guidewire Cloud implementations, upgrades, and modernization programmes.
- Provide technical leadership across PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter implementations.
- Design scalable integration solutions using REST APIs, SOAP services, messaging frameworks, and event-driven architecture.
- Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture, security, scalability, and performance standards.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Developers, QA teams, and client stakeholders.
- Review technical designs, code quality, and implementation approaches.
- Guide development teams on Guidewire best practices and design principles.
- Support estimation, technical planning, and solution governance.
- Mentor technical teams and promote engineering excellence.
- Stay current with Guidewire Cloud capabilities and emerging technologies.
Required Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience as a Guidewire Architect or Senior Guidewire Technical Lead.
- Strong expertise in Guidewire InsuranceSuite (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and/or ClaimCenter).
- Hands-on experience with Guidewire Cloud implementations and migration projects.
- Strong understanding of Guidewire integration frameworks and APIs.
- Excellent knowledge of Java, Gosu, XML, JSON, REST, SOAP, and messaging technologies.
- Experience designing enterprise integration architecture.
- Strong understanding of software architecture patterns, microservices, and cloud-native applications.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and modern development methodologies.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Domain Experience
- Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance
- Specialty Insurance
- London Market Insurance (highly desirable)
Preferred Qualifications
- Guidewire Certified Professional or Guidewire Certified Architect.
- Experience with Guidewire Cloud Platform.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
- Exposure to Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform is an advantage.
