We are looking to recruit a reliable and motivated Food Production Operative to join our busy production team in Trowbridge on a full-time, permanent basis.
About the Role
As a Food Production Worker, you will work on a busy production line helping to produce, weigh, label, pack and prepare a range of meat products to customer requirements. You will help ensure that products are produced accurately, efficiently and to high standards of quality, hygiene and food safety.
Previous experience in the food sector would be an advantage, but full training will be provided. The successful candidate must be willing to learn, take responsibility and grow with the role during and after training.
Main Responsibilities
· Work on a busy production line to ensure products are produced to the required quality and standard.
· Weigh, label and pack meat products accurately according to customer requirements.
· Follow instructions, procedures and company production processes.
· Maintain excellent standards of hygiene, food safety and quality control at all times.
· Clean equipment and work areas daily and as required.
· Work effectively as part of a team and support colleagues where needed.
· Complete tasks with accuracy, care and speed in line with company expectations.
Skills and Requirements
· Reliable, punctual and organised.
· Good attention to detail and the ability to work at a good pace.
· Self-motivated and willing to learn.
· Physically able to carry out daily duties, including some lifting.
· Good spoken and written English.
· Good communication skills.
· Ability to follow instructions and work safely.
· Understanding of health and safety, basic hygiene rules and quality control methods.
· Previous experience in food production or a similar environment is desirable but not essential.
Working Hours and Pay
· Full-time, permanent position.
· Monday to Friday, 07:00–15:00.
· 37.5 hours per week.
· Competitive salary of circa £26,000.
· Flexibility and overtime may be required during busy periods.
· Due to the nature of the role, holidays may be restricted during the company’s busiest periods.
