As a Director, Project Management at ICON, you will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of projects that advance clinical research initiatives.
What You Will Do:
You will direct project and programme management activities, ensuring quality, efficiency, and alignment with business objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
- May act both as an individual contributor and a people leader and may operationally lead and coach team members.
- May be key client contact for designated clinical projects, drives and influences customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and repeat business.
- Takes accountability for project(s) or program(s) delivery oversight on time, to budget, to the highest quality, and in compliance with ICH-GCP.
- Enables team members to manage and deliver quality projects/programs on time to clients and achieve or exceed operational and financial metrics.
- Works closely with relevant leaders and staff from other functions (Finance, Commercial, Quality, Business Operations, Talent Acquisition, etc.).
- May contribute actively to proposal development and Bid Defense Meetings by using their knowledge and experience to develop innovative plans, operational strategies, and budget models.
- Drives process improvement, risk assessment and mitigation, and execute quality.
- Customizes and drives implementation of corporate initiatives outcomes across immediate team and within the function
Your Profile:
You will bring significant project and programme management experience, with a track record of building high-performing teams and delivering results.
Required qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline or healthcare-related field; advanced degree preferred
- Extensive experience in project management within the clinical research or healthcare sectors.
- Strong leadership skills and proven ability to manage cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment.
- Expertise in project management methodologies and tools, with a focus on delivering results.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and drive change in a complex organization.
- Willingness to travel as required (approximately 20%)
