About Harry's Bar
Harry's Bar is one of Newcastle's busiest and most popular late-night venues, known for its vibrant atmosphere, exceptional service, and unforgettable nights out. We're looking for an energetic, reliable, and hardworking Barback to join our team and play a vital role in supporting our bar staff and ensuring smooth service throughout every shift.
This is a fast-paced, hands-on role that's perfect for someone who enjoys working as part of a team and thrives in a busy nightlife environment.
Key Responsibilities
Collect and clear empty glasses, bottles, and other items from tables and customer areas promptly.
Return glassware to the bar and wash areas efficiently and safely.
Keep the bar, customer areas, and walkways clean, organised, and free from hazards.
Restock glassware, ice, and other bar essentials to support the bartending team.
Assist with maintaining cleanliness behind the bar throughout service.
Support bartenders and floor staff during busy periods to ensure excellent customer service.
Help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for both guests and colleagues.
What We're Looking For
Must be 18 years or older.
Previous experience in a busy bar, nightclub, or hospitality environment is desirable but not essential.
Able to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced venue.
Strong work ethic with excellent time management and attention to detail.
A positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.
Available to work late-night shifts, including Fridays and Saturdays, with finishes of up to 4:00am.
Must be available to work throughout the Christmas period, including New Year's Eve.
Able to commit to 8–16 hours per week, increasing to 25–35 hours per week during the festive season.
