We are looking for an experienced and motivated Head Dental Nurse to join our friendly, professional team at a modern private cosmetic and implant dental practice.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident dental nurse with implant experience who enjoys leading a team, delivering exceptional patient care, and maintaining the highest clinical standards.
The Role
As Head Dental Nurse, you will lead our nursing team while working alongside experienced clinicians providing cosmetic, restorative and implant treatments. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the clinical environment and supporting the practice in delivering an outstanding patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead, support and motivate the dental nursing team.
- Chairside assistance for cosmetic, restorative and dental implant procedures.
- Prepare and maintain implant surgical equipment and clinical rooms.
- Ensure compliance with GDC, CQC and HTM 01-05 standards.
- Manage stock control and equipment maintenance.
- Assist with staff induction, training and mentoring.
- Coordinate daily clinical workflows and nurse rotas.
- Maintain excellent infection prevention and control standards.
- Support practice audits and continuous quality improvement.
About You
Essential:
- GDC registered Dental Nurse.
- Minimum 3 years' dental nursing experience.
- Previous experience assisting with dental implant surgery.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Positive, professional and patient-focused attitude.
- Strong understanding of compliance and cross-infection control.
Desirable:
- Previous experience as a Lead or Head Dental Nurse.
- Experience using digital dental software.
