Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Evening School Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students and staff during after-school hours. The ideal candidate will possess experience in commercial cleaning and janitorial services, demonstrating a strong commitment to hygiene standards and attention to detail. As an Evening School Cleaner, you will be responsible for ensuring all areas of the school are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, contributing to a positive learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas.
- Maintain cleanliness of floors, windows, furniture, and fixtures in accordance with established standards.
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and toilet paper to ensure availability at all times.
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently to prevent hazards and ensure sanitation protocols are met.
- Report any maintenance issues or damages to the appropriate personnel promptly.
- Use commercial cleaning equipment and cleaning agents safely and effectively.
- Adhere to scheduled cleaning routines while maintaining flexibility to address urgent cleaning needs as they arise.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services within an educational or similar environment.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform thorough cleaning tasks efficiently.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment operation, and safety procedures.
- Excellent time management skills to complete assigned duties within designated hours.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Good communication skills for effective coordination with school staff and team members.
- Physical stamina and mobility necessary for prolonged periods of standing, bending, and lifting during cleaning tasks.
