Responsibilities:
Physical Labor: Perform a wide range of physically demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying, and operating machinery or tools training will be provided
Material Handling: Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment from trucks, conveyors, or storage areas.
Site Cleanup: Maintain a clean and safe work environment by removing debris, waste, and hazardous materials from the work site.
Equipment Operation: Operate various tools and equipment, such as forklifts, and power tools, in compliance with safety regulations.
Assembly and Disassembly: Assist in assembling or disassembling equipment, scaffolding, and temporary structures as needed.
Teamwork: Collaborate with fellow laborers, tradespeople, and supervisors to achieve project objectives and meet deadlines.
Safety Compliance: Follow safety guidelines and protocols to minimize the risk of accidents and injuries on the job.
Communication: Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors, reporting any issues or concerns related to the job.
Qualifications:
Physical Fitness: Laborers must be physically fit and capable of lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and performing physically demanding tasks.
Work Ethic: Strong work ethic and a willingness to work in challenging weather conditions and environments.
Teamwork: Ability to work as part of a team, take direction from supervisors, and collaborate with colleagues.
Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety procedures and the ability to follow safety guidelines and protocols to minimize on-the-job risks.
Adaptability: Willingness to adapt to changing tasks and job requirements as the project progresses.
Basic Skills: Ability to read and follow instructions, use hand and power tools, and operate machinery safely (if required for the specific job).
Experience: Prior experience in a laborer or construction role may be advantageous, but it is not always a prerequisite, as on-the-job training is often provided.
