Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. This role involves supporting the efficient operation of our warehouse by handling materials, managing stock, and ensuring smooth shipping and receiving processes. The successful candidate will play a vital part in maintaining the organisation and safety of our storage facilities, contributing to the overall productivity of our logistics operations. Prior warehouse experience is preferred, but training will be provided for suitable applicants eager to develop their skills within a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Handling materials safely and efficiently, including loading and unloading goods from lorries and storage areas
- Managing inventory using warehouse management systems to track stock levels and locations
- Picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch with accuracy and attention to detail
- Stocking shelves and organising storage areas to optimise space utilisation
- Assisting with shipping & receiving activities, including documentation and label preparation
- Conducting quality control checks to ensure products meet company standards
- Performing mechanical tasks related to equipment maintenance or minor repairs as needed
- Ensuring the warehouse remains clean, organised, and compliant with safety standards
Skills
- Proven experience in materials handling, picking & packing, or stock management within a warehouse setting
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and load handling over extended periods
- Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail to ensure accuracy in order fulfilment
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills to coordinate with colleagues and supervisors effectively
