Position for a full time warehouse/stores supervisor has become available within our busy, family run garden centre.
The duties will include:
Ensuring that all goods that are unloaded match the relevant paperwork
Storing and rotating stock according to established procedures
Reporting any damaged or missing goods
Keeping the warehouse environment clean and tidy and maintaining equipment
Following workplace health and safety rules when handling goods
Assisting with warehouse inventory controls, which typically involves using a hand-held scanner
Treating merchandise with care and concern at all times
Accuracy is highly important and we need someone who has excellent attention to detail and can follow instructions precisely.
Person specification
Experience working within a warehouse/stores environment is essential.
Commitment to high standards of checking and inputting.
Ability to work on own initiative and be self-driven.
Be self-motivated, positive and organized.
Be reliable, hardworking and enthusiastic to learn.
All applicants will be required to hold a counterbalance forklift licence as well as a full UK driving licence although forklift training will be given
The hours are 40 hours per week including weekends and bank holidays
Salary is depending on experience.
