Job Overview
We are a friendly, family-run business looking for skilled Electricians to join our growing team. In this role, you will be essential to delivering a comprehensive, efficient and highly responsive property maintenance service to our clients. Your primary focus will be providing high-quality reactive repairs, while offering clear structure and support to our operatives from initial fault-finding through to final quality assurance. Occasional overtime and weekend work are available to help maximize your earning potential.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and determine the best course of action for repairs.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine layout of electrical systems.
- Ensure compliance with local electrical codes and safety standards.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on site to ensure efficient project completion.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
Qualifications
- 18th Edition Certificate
- Qualified to Part 1 & 2 City and Guilds for electrical installation
- City and Guilds 2391 testing and inspection
- Level 3 NVQ Electrical installation & maintenance
- Formal technical qualification in electrical engineering
- Proven experience as an Electrician or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and safety protocols.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools related to electrical work.
- Ability to read technical documents and blueprints accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in electrical work are advantageous.
You’ll have a valid UK driving licence and the ability to travel between sites and offices across all regions. A Company van will be provided.
We are looking for engineers living close to our offices in Great Bookham KT23 and surrounding areas.
