We have an excellent opportunity for a Workshop Maintenance Operative to join our Premises team based at our Head Office - Albany House in central Eastbourne. This is a key role supporting our network of over 280 branches nationwide by providing essential support with merchandising materials and necessary shop fittings and equipment required for all branches.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing shopfitting and related stock, and overseeing maintenance, alteration and redecoration projects across Head Office and branches to maintain high presentation standards. This is a practical, fast paced role that would suit someone who is highly organised, proactive and self-motivated. As a Workshop Maintenance Operative, some responsibilities include:

Keeping all storage areas clean and tidy

Assisting in the loading and unloading of Company vehicles and the putting away of materials

Ensure that all equipment despatched to branches is in the best possible state of repair and decorative order to preserve the image of quality and style of the Company

Ordering of shopfitting components and monitoring stock level

Checking and issuing all materials moving into and out of stock

Unloading and loading vehicles safely and within legal limitations

Vocational driving, regular travelling and occasional overnight stays are also involved in this role.
Who we are looking for to join our team:
-
A strong background and experience in power and hand tools necessary to undertake shopfitting and storage shelving alterations and install merchandising equipment

Experience working in branch during trading hours

Exceptional organisational skills with the confidence to plan and organise your workload effectively and accurately, at times working on your own initiative and to deadlines

Accuracy with an excellent eye for detail and ability to produce work to a high standard
-
Initiative to make decisions and problem solve daily.

Confident communicator at all levels, able to demonstrate excellent people skills.

Full and clean driving licence
-
MEWP (Mobile Elevating Work Platforms), SEMA registration and Forklift licence would be desirable, but not essential.
