As a Document Controller, you will be at the heart of our project delivery, ensuring that all project documentation is managed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with industry standards. You will work closely with the Regional Team, supporting multiple construction projects across the Northwest region, from inception through to completion. Your role will be crucial in maintaining the integrity and organisation of project documents, facilitating seamless communication, and ensuring that all documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement document control solutions tailored to the needs of the company.
- Ensure all hard and soft copy documents are accurately filed, easily accessible, and version records are kept up to date on each project TIDP.
- Assisting the site teams with up-to-date copies of the latest construction information.
- Ensure that older versions of drawings/documents are archived but still traceable.
- Liaise with consultants, contractors, and various internal departments to ensure that all project documentation is kept in the correct location, recorded accurately, and distributed as required.
- Ensure that all documentation processes comply with industry standards, project requirements, and company policies. Provide support during audits and ensure that all documentation is in order.
- Manage and maintain all project documentation on SharePoint, including daily checks to verify the status, accuracy, and completeness of all documents.
- Ensure that all commented drawings and status changes are promptly recorded and actioned.
- Preparing site start up files for all new sites and providing all required information for first phase works.
- Collating and preparing information for O&M and Home User Guides for development handover.
Skills & Experience
Experience: Previous experience as a Document Controller in the construction or property development industry is essential. Proficiency in using document management systems like Procore is highly desirable.
Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to document management, with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance.
Organisational Skills: Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
Communication: Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders.
IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with document control software and systems.
