Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children in a nursery setting. As a Nursery Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their development and well-being. Your leadership skills and ability to communicate effectively with both children and parents will be essential in this role.
Duties
- Provide high-quality childcare and support to children aged 0-5 years in a nursery setting.
- Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Manage daily routines, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive team environment and share best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of children's development and progress.
- Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism and a strong work ethic.
- Support children’s emotional and social development through positive interactions.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
- A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate others.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- A genuine passion for childcare and the drive to create an enriching environment for children.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to manage individual responsibilities effectively.
- Knowledge of child development principles and practices related to early years education.
