Purpose of the Role
This role is based in Ipswich on a part-time basis. Savills Place provides management services to BIDs (Business Improvement Districts) across the UK and provides cashbook services for a large number of these clients. The purpose of the role is to assist with the day-to-day management of this service provided to clients
Key Responsibilities
This role is based in Ipswich on a part-time basis. Savills Place provides management services to BIDs (Business Improvement Districts) across the UK and the Finance department runs the cashbook for these clients. The purpose of the role is to assist with the day-to-day management of this service provided to clients. This role also incorporates working on the consultancy services supplied to other BIDs.
Finance
1. Reporting against budgets on income and expenditure.
2. Post journals e.g. accruals & prepayments.
3. Timely preparation and submission of VAT returns in compliance with Making Tax Digital requirements.
4. Assistance with budget preparation and reforecasting, including attending regular meetings with clients on finance matters.
5. Monitoring client cashflow reports.
6. Assistance with bookkeeping using Sage 50 during busy periods.
7. Line management and daily supervision of two Finance Coordinators.
8. Liaison with and assistance to company accountants on month end reconciliations and year end reporting.
9. Liaison with debtors, escalating to relevant people where appropriate.
10. Liaison with sage consultant on BID year ends and any problems at arise with sage throughout the year in order that sage processing runs smoothly.
11. To deputise in absence of Finance Manager.
12. Complete regular reviews of aged payables & debtors.
13. Review monthly bank reconciliations.
14. Managing the administration of bank accounts, to include making bacs payments using on-line banking systems, payment of cheques received into the bank.
15. Provide ad hoc reports for the serviced BID Managers and Client Liaison Managers, as required
16. Regular review of all serviced BIDs reporting packs
17. Review and update systems to improve efficiencies.
18. Raise sales invoices for monthly and ad hoc management/service fees.
Payroll
19. Managing monthly payroll process for clients, including RTI submissions and monthly payments to employees, HMRC and pension providers.
20. Administration of pension schemes for clients.
21. Maintain and manage salary sacrifice schemes where relevant
22. Raise sales invoices for payroll where BID team are employed internally.
23. Assist HR with payroll queries

Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Essential
- Sage 50 Accounts experience.
- Payroll experience.
- Smart, presentable and reliable
- GCSE C+ in Maths and English.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong ability to multitask and prioritise own workload.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft office- Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Confident personality with ability to work independently or in a team.
- Ability to work to a monthly schedule and meet deadlines on a regular basis.
- Helpful nature and a “can do” attitude.
- Ability to work with discretion
- AAT qualified or qualified by experience
Desirable
- Sage payroll experience
- A Levels in English, Maths or Business
Working Hours - Up to 30 hours per week – dates and times can be agreed
