The Role
We are looking for a hands-on Production Supervisor to take ownership of daily production performance within a fast-paced, regulated manufacturing environment.
This is not a “clipboard supervisor” role - this is about leading from the front, driving standards, and ensuring production runs on time, in full, and right first time.
We are a scaling business, and with that comes the need for the right person who can bring structure, ownership, and discipline to the shop floor. This role is key to ensuring that as we grow, our processes, standards, and ways of working grow with us.
Key Responsibilities
- Own daily production delivery
- Ensure all jobs are completed OTIF (On Time In Full)
- Drive schedule adherence across shifts and teams
- Proactively manage risks to delivery before they impact output
- Lead and manage production teams
- Direct, coach, and develop production Team Leaders and operatives
- Set clear expectations and hold the team accountable to standards
- Act as the first point of escalation for shop floor issues
- Operate within a regulated environment (BRC)
- Ensure full compliance with BRC standards and audit requirements
- Maintain high levels of GMP, hygiene, and documentation discipline
- Support and lead internal and external audits
- Drive SOP and process discipline
- Take ownership for implementing, and improving Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Ensure SOPs are followed consistently across all activities
- Embed a “right first time” culture
- Performance & KPI ownership
Create, monitor and report on:
- OTIF delivery
- Schedule adherence
- First Pass Yield / Right First Time
- Take immediate corrective action when performance drops
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Production Supervisor (or strong Team Leader ready to step up)
- Experience working within a BRC-regulated manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of:
- SOP creation and implementation
- Production scheduling and adherence
- OTIF delivery and KPI-driven performance
- Someone who naturally takes ownership and builds structure, not waits for it
- A hands-on leader who is:
- Organised and process-driven
- Calm under pressure
- Comfortable challenging systems and processes
- Focused on delivery and accountability
