We are looking for a committed, enthusiastic and determined person to join our Swimming Team and provide a great experience for pupils on our swim scheme.
As a Swimming Teacher you will be highly motivated, with a commitment to delivering a first-class service.
The role will involve the planning, teaching, assessment and evaluation of swimming lessons for pupils aged 6 months upwards. You must hold a current Level 2 Swimming Instructor qualification either Swim England or STA. Candidates should be available 50 weeks of the year for the same days each week.
You will possess excellent communication skills and an ability to work on your own initiative and within a team. Hours of work may require you to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
York Sport Swimming Lessons operate for 50 weeks a year.
The salary is £17.50 per hour with effect from 1 June 2026.
The following shifts are available: Monday - Friday 15:45-19:15 and Saturdays 08:00-12:30, with flexibility for candidates to specify the number of hours/days they are available.
