Be part of a landmark mixed‑use regeneration setting that will ultimately welcome around 3,500 homes centered around a five‑acre park, new school, workspaces and neighbourhood retail. You’ll help keep vibrant residential buildings and shared amenities spotless in an environment designed with sustainability at its heart. With great transport connections via Dagenham Dock and easy Elizabeth line access at Woolwich, you’ll work in a growing community where every shift supports a clean, safe and welcoming place for residents and visitors.
ROLE EXPECTATIONS
You will deliver consistent, high‑standard cleaning across residential blocks, entrances, corridors, lifts and shared amenity spaces. You’ll take pride in presentation, follow daily schedules, and respond to ad‑hoc tasks from the development team. You will work closely with colleagues to uphold health, safety and environmental standards.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
- Communal areas are spotless, presentable and ready for residents throughout the day.
- Cleaning schedules are completed on time and to a high standard, with accurate records kept.
- Health and safety procedures, including COSHH and safe use of equipment, are followed without exception.
- You spot issues early (from litter to light outages) and report or resolve them promptly.
- Residents and visitors receive friendly, helpful support and clear information when needed.
- You use materials efficiently, helping the site meet its sustainability goals.
HOW YOU'LL SPEND MOST OF YOUR TIME
- Cleaning entrances, lobbies, corridors, stairwells, lifts and refuse areas.
- Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and dusting as per daily and weekly schedules.
- Sanitising high‑touch points and ensuring washrooms and amenities are stocked.
- Managing waste and recycling, including keeping bin stores clean and orderly.
- Checking and maintaining cleaning equipment and reporting defects.
- Completing checklists and communicating issues to the site team.

EXPERIENCE THAT HELPS
- Previous cleaning experience in residential, hospitality, retail or similar environments.
- Confidence using cleaning machinery and eco‑friendly products.
- Familiarity with waste and recycling procedures on large sites.
- Experience following H&S guidance, including COSHH awareness.
- Working with checklists or digital task systems to track completion.
