We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to work as part of the Additional Learning Needs Team within Education and Children’s Services, with a specific focus on supporting learners at post-16. The role will involve working closely with colleagues across the Inclusion Department, schools, settings, third sector organisations, and colleges to support effective transition planning and provision.
The successful candidate will promote and embed a person-centred approach, ensuring that learner aspirations, views, and outcomes are central to all planning and decision-making. They will guide and support practitioners to develop their understanding of post-16 pathways, ensuring that learners with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) access appropriate, meaningful progression opportunities.
We are looking for a suitably experienced professional with NVQ Level 4 or equivalent, alongside appropriate ICT skills. The individual will demonstrate a strong understanding of the needs of learners with ALN at post-16, including knowledge of a range of education, training, and employment pathways. They will show commitment, resilience, and a determination to secure positive outcomes for young people, working collaboratively with families and partner agencies.
