Temporary Cleaners – Build Clean / Sparkle Clean (New Build) – Start August, until 19th September
We're looking for reliable, hardworking Cleaners to join our team on a temporary basis, starting early August through to 19th September, to help prepare our brand-new student accommodation building ahead of student move‑in.
This role is focused primarily on build cleaning (sparkle cleaning) — getting a newly constructed building ready for occupation — though you may also be asked to support with wider cleaning duties across the site as needed.
This is a hands‑on, fast‑paced role within a friendly, supportive team, perfect for someone who takes pride in their work, has an eye for detail, and enjoys keeping busy during our busiest time of year.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out build/sparkle cleans in bedrooms, corridors, lifts, risers, and building fronts following new construction
- Remove construction dust, debris, and residue to bring areas up to a high move‑in standard
- Support wider site cleaning as required, including communal areas, kitchens, bathrooms, and social spaces
- Support the busy summer turnaround ahead of student arrivals
- Report maintenance issues and health & safety concerns promptly
- Replenish cleaning supplies and follow site cleaning schedules
- Work collaboratively with site teams and management
- Maintain professionalism and a positive attitude around colleagues and contractors on site
What We're Looking For
- Previous cleaning experience – ideally build/sparkle cleaning, accommodation, hospitality, or commercial environments
- CSCS card preferred but not essential
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards
- Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment during the summer turnaround
- Ability to follow cleaning procedures and health & safety guidelines
Contract & Working Hours
- Temporary contract: start of August until 19th September
- Variable hours, around 40 per week
- Shifts are 8 hours, scheduled between 06:00 and 16:30
- Working days are rota'd flexibly across Monday to Sunday, so applicants should be happy to work any day of the week as required
