Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mobile Fitter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and assembly of equipment and machinery. Your expertise will ensure that our fleet of units operates efficiently, safely, and reliably. Duties
- Fabricate and assemble mobile equipment components using hand tools, power tools, welding, and fabrication techniques
- Perform electrical work including soldering, wiring, and troubleshooting electrical systems on mobile units
- Repair and maintain equipment such as excavators, forklifts, and other heavy machinery to ensure optimal performance
- Use welding skills to repair or modify metal parts, ensuring safety standards are met
- Follow schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot mechanical or electrical faults effectively
- Carry out routine maintenance tasks including lubrication, part replacement, and system calibration
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks using appropriate equipment while adhering to safety protocols
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with team members and clients regarding repairs or maintenance status
Skills
- Strong fabrication skills with experience in welding and metalworking techniques
- Proficient in soldering and electrical wiring for mobile equipment systems
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and manuals accurately
- Mechanical knowledge of heavy machinery such as excavators and forklifts
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and equipment repair techniques
- Experience in assembly processes for mobile units or similar machinery
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures for industrial equipment with a focus on safety standards
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining physical endurance during demanding tasks
- Excellent customer service skills with clear communication abilities
- Electrical experience combined with mechanical expertise ensures comprehensive troubleshooting capabilities
