Position 1: Live-in PA.
I am a 65 year old lady with a rare form of dementia caused by a gene mutation. I am looking for a self-employed Personal Assistant to work alongside the existing PA, providing live-in care, week on, week off. With my condition I need constant supervision and support. I am looking for a female carer to support me with personal care including toileting and washing, washing my hair, helping me in and out of the bath and drying off. I need support at mealtimes and throughout the day with feeding and drinking, including prompts to chew and swallow and encouragement to drink because I forget. I am often restless and unsettled and pace around during the day unless I am kept occupied, so I will require supervision throughout the day with activities and to maintain my safety as I am no longer aware of personal risks and am impulsive in my behaviours. I need support with social activities and love going for walks each day. I also require assistance to attend to some household tasks. There is a family dog in the household, a chocolate Labrador, so you will need to be comfortable with dogs, and my husband lives there too.
