RD Services Recovery Ltd is looking for an experienced 3 Car Recovery Driver to join our expanding team. We operate a modern fleet of recovery vehicles, providing professional breakdown recovery, vehicle transport and roadside assistance across Yorkshire and throughout the UK.
This role is ideal for someone who is hardworking, reliable and takes pride in delivering outstanding customer service.
The Role
As a 3 Car Recovery Driver, you will be responsible for recovering and transporting up to three vehicles at a time using a 3 Car Tilt & Slide Recovery Vehicle fitted with a spec lift system. The role includes attending breakdowns, accidents, dealership collections, trade movements and vehicle deliveries while ensuring every vehicle is recovered safely and professionally.
Essential Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 licence (Class 1 an advantage)
- Valid Driver CPC
- Valid Digital Tachograph (Digi) Card
- Maximum of 6 penalty points (no DR, DD or IN endorsements)
- Previous experience driving a 3 Car Tilt & Slide Recovery Vehicle is essential
- Experience using a winch and spec lift system is essential
- Good understanding of DVSA regulations, drivers' hours and tachograph rules
- Excellent customer service skills
Key Responsibilities
- Recover and transport up to 3 vehicles safely and professionally.
- Operate the tilt & slide body, winch and spec lift system.
- Attend breakdowns, accidents and vehicle recoveries.
- Carry out dealership and trade vehicle collections and deliveries.
- Load, secure and unload vehicles safely using the correct equipment, including the spec lift.
- Complete daily vehicle checks and defect reports.
- Report any vehicle or equipment faults immediately.
- Complete all paperwork accurately and on time.
- Keep company vehicles clean, tidy and well presented.
- Carry out basic routine maintenance and checks.
- Represent RD Services professionally at all times.
