Duties
- Design and deliver engaging dance lessons tailored to various skill levels and age groups, covering styles such as ballet, tap, modern, contemporary, or others based on expertise.
- Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation, respect, and personal growth.
- Demonstrate dance techniques clearly and effectively, providing constructive feedback to help students improve their skills.
- Prepare lesson plans that align with curriculum goals and adapt activities to meet individual student needs.
- Organize and supervise rehearsals for performances or showcases, fostering teamwork and discipline among students.
- Monitor student progress regularly and provide encouragement to boost confidence.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the dance studio or classroom at all times.
Experience
- Excellent communication skills to motivate students and collaborate effectively with parents or guardians when necessary.
- Knowledge of various dance techniques, safety protocols, and warm-up/cool-down procedures.
- Ability to demonstrate technical skills confidently while fostering a positive learning atmosphere.
- Prior experience in curriculum development or lesson planning is advantageous but not mandatory; enthusiasm for continuous learning is essential.
- Certification in dance instruction or related fields is a plus but not required; relevant training or workshops will be considered.
