About the Role
Parkinson Signs is looking for a skilled and dependable Sign Maker to join our team on a permanent basis.
As part of The Sign Makers Group, we produce and install an extensive range of high-quality signage and visual-communication products. This varied, hands-on role covers all stages of sign production, from preparing vinyl and digital graphics to operating specialist machinery and supporting installations on site.
The ideal candidate will have at least one year’s relevant experience. However, additional training can be provided where required. A full, clean driving licence is essential, as driving between sites forms part of the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture and assemble a wide range of internal and external signage products.
- Prepare, produce and apply vinyl lettering and digital graphics.
- Produce and install vehicle graphics.
- Prepare and install digitally printed graphics.
- Operate design, print and vinyl-cutting software.
- Set up and operate CNC machinery safely and accurately.
- Read and follow artwork, measurements, specifications and production instructions.
- Check completed work to ensure it meets the required quality standards.
- Assist with signage installations at customer locations.
- Work safely at height using appropriate access equipment.
- Maintain tools, machinery and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
- Drive company vehicles to transport signage, equipment and materials to installation sites.
- Work closely with colleagues across production, installation and project management.
Skills and Experience
- At least one year’s experience in sign making, graphics production or a related role is preferred.
- Practical experience producing and installing signage, vinyl or digital graphics.
- Experience applying vehicle graphics would be advantageous.
- Confidence using design, printing and vinyl-cutting software.
- CNC operating experience is preferred, ideally with three years’ relevant experience.
- Good practical skills and strong attention to detail.
- The ability to take accurate measurements and follow production specifications.
- Comfortable working at height and in a range of site conditions.
- A positive, reliable and solutions-focused approach.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A full, clean driving licence is essential.

Pay: £28,700.00-£35,000.00 per year
