Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive training sessions covering hairdressing, beauty therapy, and related skills using engaging teaching methods
- Develop lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and industry best practices
- Assess student progress through practical demonstrations, written assessments, and ongoing feedback
- Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized learning environment that adheres to health and safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with students to motivate, support, and guide their professional growth
- Incorporate IT tools and resources to enhance learning experiences and facilitate interactive lessons
- Organize practical workshops, demonstrations, and assessments to ensure students acquire hands-on skills necessary for industry success
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hairdressing or beauty therapy with a strong portfolio of work
- Excellent communication skills in English, capable of clearly conveying complex concepts to diverse learners
- Strong teaching abilities with the patience and enthusiasm to inspire students of varying skill levels
- Knowledge of plumbing as it relates to salon equipment maintenance or installations is a plus
- Proficiency in IT applications for educational purposes, including presentation software and online learning platforms
- Exceptional organizational skills to plan lessons effectively, manage classroom activities, and track student progress
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in hairdressing or beauty therapy; additional certifications in teaching or training are advantageous
- IQA Assessors award.
