THE ROLE
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Legal Assistant/Secretary to provide administrative and operational support to our legal and compliance function. This is a hands-on support role suited to a candidate with at least three years’ experience working specifically as a Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary.
The successful candidate will assist with document management, client onboarding, regulatory compliance, stakeholder communications, and general support while ensuring the highest levels of confidentiality and professionalism.
This position is primarily focused on legal administration, coordination and operational support, rather than fee-earning or casework responsibilities. Candidates should therefore be seeking a long-term legal support/administrative position and be comfortable taking ownership of administrative processes and provide reliable, proactive support to the wider team.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a legal administration, paralegal, compliance, contracts administration, or professional services role.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
Key Responsibilities
Legal Administration
- Prepare and manage legal documents, contracts, and correspondence.
- Maintain accurate electronic and physical filing systems.
- Assist with document execution processes, including obtaining signatures and maintaining records.
- Monitor key dates, deadlines, and contract renewal schedules.
- Track contractual obligations and assist with compliance monitoring.
Compliance Support
- Assist with internal compliance procedures and regulatory requirements, including filing statutory submissions if required.
- Maintain compliance records and registers.
- Provide support to policy reviews and updating policies.
- Assist with due diligence on clients and projects.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Liaise with external advisers, clients, and regulatory bodies.
- Coordinate document requests and information gathering.
- Organise meetings, schedules, and document execution processes.

Pay: £26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
